For hair salons · free to look, pay only to publish

Every website builder hands you an empty page. We hand you the salon.

You did not open a salon to learn a page editor. Type your salon name and your town, and about a minute later a finished hair salon site is open in front of you — your service menu with prices, your hours, an appointment form that reaches your inbox. Then you decide whether it is worth paying for.

Start here — two fields

No card. No account. No call. You pay only if you decide to publish it — from $59 a month, cancel any time, or £49 in the UK. Rather be done with it? $599 once covers the first 12 months, with no monthly fee.

Cutting shears, a tail comb and a wooden paddle brush laid on a folded towel beside a gilt mirror, in warm afternoon light.

§ 01 — what the page has to do

The problem with a salon website builder is that you are the one who has to build it.

The trial is free, the templates look wonderful, and then it is you at the kitchen table on a Tuesday night trying to work out why the header photograph will not sit still. Six weeks later there is a half-finished site with a placeholder address and a colour you never chose. The alternative is not a better editor. It is not having to open one.

  1. STEP 01

    You type two lines.

The name on the front of your salon, and the town it is in. If you have your prices or your hours to hand, there is a box for those too — and if you have not, you send them later and we put them on.

  2. STEP 02

The site builds itself in front of you.

Not a preview, not a wireframe, not a PDF of a design. A finished salon website at its own web address, which you can send to your business partner or your mother before you decide anything.

  3. STEP 03

You publish it, or you close the tab.

One payment puts it live under your own domain, with your changes made. Closing the tab costs nothing, and there is no card on file to charge, because you never entered one.

What the finished salon site holds

  • A service menu, grouped and pricedCutting, colour, treatments, finishing — your groups, your names, your prices next to each one.
  • Opening hours, day by dayWritten as text, including the days you are shut. A person can read it and so can a search engine.
  • An appointment enquiry formWhat they want, when they are free, how to reach them — landing in your email, not a portal.
  • Your number, one tap from diallingA real dialling link in four places down the page, so it is never far from wherever she stopped reading.
  • Your salon in the page title“Marlowe & Fern — Salon in Portland, Oregon”. The line that appears in a search result, written properly.
  • Local business schema, filled inAddress, hours and every service on your menu, written into the page in the format search engines parse.

Everything above comes from what you type and what you send us. Nothing is written on your behalf — no reviews, no claims about your business, no numbers you did not give us. Build mine — free

A drag-and-drop editor is not a website. It is homework you set yourself at eleven at night.

§ 02 — the proof

Here is one, finished, open to anybody.

Marlowe & Fern is a four-chair salon in Portland with eight services across three groups. The site is complete and live on the same system that will serve yours. It is the honest way to judge this: not by a promise about what we would design for you, but by reading a whole site we already built and deciding whether you would be happy with yours looking like that.

The Marlowe & Fern salon site on a phone: salon name, tagline, phone number and a Book an appointment button above a photograph of the salon.

Four chairs, and a menu with prices on it.

Cutting, colour and finishing, each with what it costs. Hours down to the closed days. An about section in the owner’s voice. Open it and scroll the whole thing — it will take you ninety seconds and it will tell you more than any pitch.

  • Prices shown
  • Appointment form
  • Mobile-first pages

§ 03 — the bill

Starts at

59 US dollars per month

Cancel any time, by email.

$59/moUnited States, Canada and everywhere else
£49/moUnited Kingdom — billed in pounds, not converted

Or pay once — $599, and no monthly fee. $599 is about ten months of $59, and it covers twelve. Twelve months of the monthly plan comes to $708, so paying once keeps $109 in your pocket and leaves nothing to cancel. In pounds: £499 once, against £588 over a year. You choose at the moment you publish, not before.

14 days to change your mind Full refund, no reason required — on one email to contact@openhousesites.com. Back to the card that paid it.

Nothing is charged while you look. The payment button only appears once your site exists and you have read it.

  • The finished hair salon siteBuilt on the layout your trade gets, with your services and your town on it — not a blank template with your name dropped in.
  • Your contentServices, prices, hours, area served, what you actually do — written on the page, not left as placeholder.
  • Mobile-first pagesComposed narrow first, because that is the screen your customers are holding.
  • A contact form that worksMessages land in your inbox. Not in a dashboard you will never log into.
  • SEO setup and local business schemaSo search engines know what you do, where you are, and when you are open.
  • Your own domain, hosting and SSLConnected and included on both plans — twelve months of it if you pay once, and for as long as it runs if you pay monthly.

No retainer. No lock-in. After the first year, keep it with us or take it anywhere you like — it is yours. And none of it costs anything until you say publish.

§ 04 — straight answers, for hair salons

The questions hair salons actually ask.

How is this different from Wix, Squarespace or GoDaddy?

They sell you a tool and the work is yours. We do the work and sell you the result. On the bill you get a choice they do not offer: $59 a month like theirs, or $599 once, which covers the first twelve months and then leaves you with nothing to cancel at all.

What if the words are not how I would say them?

Then send them back. One full round of revisions is included when you publish — words, photographs, colours, sections, the order of the whole thing. Nobody knows a salon the way its owner does, and a site that sounds like somebody else is worse than no site.

Who owns the site and the domain?

You do, from the moment you publish. The domain, the pages, the words, the files. It is not a licence and not a rental. If you ever leave, you leave with the site.

And if I pay and then hate it?

Fourteen days from the payment to change your mind, refunded in full, in the currency you paid and back to the card that paid it. If you are on the monthly plan, the fourteen days run from your first payment. One email to contact@openhousesites.com. No reason to give, no form, no call to talk you out of it.

§ 05 — not your trade?

Different trade? There is a page for that one too.

Whatever you do, the front door is the same one: the Openhouse home page, or type your trade straight into the form and we build from that.

Start with your business name.

That is genuinely the whole thing. Two fields here, your town on the next screen, and we build your salon site. You read all of it, on your own phone, on your own time — and then you decide whether it is worth $59 a month.
