What we do

Marchetti has been putting roofs on houses in Lackawanna County for two generations. The work is mostly asphalt shingle, some standing-seam metal, a fair amount of flat roofing on porches and additions, and more gutter than anyone outside the trade would guess.

01

Roof inspection & photo report

An hour on the roof and in the attic, then a written report with photographs of every problem we found. Free if you go on to book work.

$145

02

Asphalt shingle replacement

Stripped to the deck, ice-and-water shield at the eaves and valleys, synthetic underlayment, architectural shingle. Priced by the square.

Quoted per job

03

Standing-seam metal roof

Panels rolled to length so there is no lap across the run. Longer job, longer life, and it sheds Pennsylvania snow.

Quoted per job

04

Flat and low-slope roofing

Porches, additions and dormers in torch-down or single-ply membrane, with the edge detail done properly.

from $1,850

05

Leak tracing and repair

We find it with a hose and two people before we quote the fix. Most leaks turn out to be flashing.

from $285

06

Flashing and chimney work

Step flashing, counter flashing and chimney crickets. The commonest cause of a leak and the commonest thing done badly.

from $420

07

Valley repair

Open or closed valleys relined where water has worn through. Half a day on most houses.

from $560

08

Storm damage tarping

A tarp on the same day where the weather lets us up, so the inside of the house stops taking water while the claim is dealt with.

from $250

09

Insurance claim documentation

Photographs, measurements and a line-item estimate in the format adjusters expect. We meet the adjuster on the roof if you want us there.

Included with any claim work

10

Gutter replacement

Seamless aluminium rolled on site, hung on hidden hangers rather than spikes. Priced per foot.

from $12 per ft

11

Gutter cleaning

Cleared by hand, downspouts flushed, and the roof checked while we are up there. Twice a year is right for a house under trees.

from $165

12

Gutter guards

Fitted over new or existing gutter. We will tell you honestly whether your tree cover justifies them.

from $9 per ft

13

Soffit and fascia

Rotten timber replaced and capped in aluminium, usually done at the same time as gutters while the scaffold is up.

from $22 per ft

14

Attic ventilation

Ridge vent and soffit intake balanced properly. It is what stops ice dams, and it is missing on most older roofs here.

from $680

15

Ice dam removal

Steamed off, never chipped. Chipping takes the shingle with the ice and turns a winter problem into a spring bill.

from $425

16

Skylight fitting or replacement

Curb-mounted units fitted with the flashing kit the manufacturer supplies, which is the part most leaks come from.

from $980

About us

Who you are calling

Every job starts the same way: we go up, we photograph what is there, and we show you the pictures. You get to see your own roof, close up, before anybody talks about money. Half the time the honest answer is that you have four or five years left and you need a repair, not a replacement, and we would rather tell you that now than sell you something you do not need yet.

When a roof does need replacing we strip it to the deck. We do not lay new shingle over old — it hides rot, it voids most manufacturer warranties, and it doubles the weight the rafters carry. Anything soft in the decking gets cut out and replaced, and you see a photograph of that too, before it disappears under the underlayment.

Leaks are their own kind of work and we treat them that way. Water travels along a rafter and comes through a ceiling ten feet from where it got in, so we chase it from the inside out with a hose and a helper rather than guessing from the driveway. Most leaks are flashing, not shingle, and most of those are a morning rather than a roof.

About this preview

This is an example. Here is the whole arrangement.

Openhouse builds a finished website for a local business, then shows the owner the result. No brief, no meetings, no quote to read. The page above is what that looks like when it is done — built for a business we invented, so that you can read a real one before you ask for yours.

Is Marchetti Roofing & Gutters a real business?
No. The name, the address, the phone number, the hours and the prices above were all written by us for this example. There is nothing to visit and nobody to call. Every other site we build is for a real business, and those are not published until their owner says so.
Would my site look like this one?
It would be built the same way and to the same length, with your own words, your own prices and your own hours. The layout follows the trade — a barbershop's page is not laid out like an electrician's — and anything on it can be changed before you decide anything.
What happens the moment I pay?
The site goes live and we email you a link to your dashboard — that is where messages from your contact form land. Reply to that email with the domain name you want and we point it at your site within one business day. Don't own a domain? We register one, in your name.
And if I do nothing at all?
Nothing happens. No invoice, no card on file — we never see your card details, and we cannot charge one you have not entered. You can read this example for as long as you like without ever telling us who you are.
Who am I actually buying from?
Openhouse — we build finished websites for local businesses and show the owner the result. Write to contact@openhousesites.com and a person answers. The payment is taken by Sparkles Corp, the company that holds our payment account, so that is the name you will see on your statement. The whole agreement — what the price covers, the refund, who owns the site — is one page at openhousesites.com/terms.html.

What a site like this costs

$59a month, cancel any time. Everything listed below, live under your own domain. No setup fee, nothing to install — and you can pay once instead if you would rather own it outright.

A site this size, built for your business, then shown to you before you pay anything.

Finished first, paid for after The page above is finished and public at openhousesites.com/app/for/marchetti-roofing-gutters-scranton-pa. Yours is built the same way: we write it, we put it at an address like that one, and you look at the whole thing before any money changes hands. That is the part nobody else does.

  • The finished siteThe site exactly as you previewed it. Same pages, same words, same layout — nothing is held back for a higher tier.
  • Your content, your tradeYour services, your hours, your area served, and the pages your trade actually needs. Written out, not left as filler.
  • Mobile layoutEvery page composed narrow-screen first, because that is the screen your customers are holding.
  • A working contact formMessages from the form arrive in your email inbox. There is no dashboard to log into and no app to install.
  • SEO setupPage titles, meta descriptions and structured data, so search engines read what you do, where you are and when you are open.
  • Your domain, connectedWe connect a domain you already own. If you do not own one, we register one for you — in your name, and it is yours.
  • Hosting and SSL, 12 monthsCounted from the day the site is activated. No monthly fee in that first year. Nothing to cancel and nothing to forget.
  • One round of revisionsSend your changes in one go — words, photos, sections, the order of the whole thing — and we make them.

Or pay once, and be done $599 once — no monthly fee for 12 months. That is just over 10 months of the monthly plan, and twelve months at $59 a month come to $708 — so paying once is the cheaper of the two, and there is nothing left to cancel. Same site, same guarantee, either way.

14 days to change your mind — full refund, no reason required. One email to contact@openhousesites.com is enough — no form, no phone call, no questions about what went wrong.

Both doors open the same site — same pages, same guarantee. The monthly plan cancels any time with one email to contact@openhousesites.com, and the site stays up until the end of the month you have paid for. Pay once and there is nothing to cancel at all.

Secure payment by card. The charge shows as Sparkles Corp on your statement — that is the company that holds our payment account, and we say so before you click rather than after.
